Cueing divisi parts

Hi, does anyone know whether it is possible to cue one divisi part in another instrument? In the project I am working on, the Solo Cornets are divisi and I would like to cue the first Solo Cornet part in the 2nd and 3rd Cornets, but Solo Cornet does not appear in the divisi list when searching. I would rather not use a workaround if possible, but perhaps that’s the only way to do it at the moment? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, @seb_at_stainer !

It’s not entirely clear to me how you have things set up. I think you have three section cornet players, and the first one is divisi. Is that correct?

If so, then I have no problems adding a cue from the divided first cornets into one of the other parts. Here’s the dropdown I get when all three players have their default names and I want to add a cue into Cornet II:

If you’ve changed the name of the first cornet instrument to “Solo Cornet” –

Then you need to type solo into the cue popover instead of cornet, since the popover works by staff names, which are generally the same as instrument names.

Does that help, or have I misunderstood?

Thanks for your response. I have the Solo Cornets set up as section instrument, which has various divisi moments throughout. Perhaps the problem is that when I divide the instrument I have chosen to divide it as one or two solo instruments and gli altri rather than a straightforward split into three parts?

Whether or not that impacts things I am not sure, but the options to cue the parts are not appearing in the popover.

I’m getting the same results as @asherber, whether splitting them up als Solo+gli altri, Solo 1+ Solo 2+gli altri or as 2 sections. Can you upload (part of) your project? You could probably delete everything except for that (couple of) bar(s).
