Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I can certainly understand the desire. On the other hand, as Daniel says here, the changed beaming might convey a different idea of the played phrase for the player reading the cue vs how the music sounds. Is it possible/appropriate to show the whole of bar 20 in the cue, perhaps?
I completely understand and in 99% of cases it is perfect.
It’s not in this case: up until the quaver before the cue starts is a long godawful melisma that no-one should ever have to witness. I will just cue in a different location.
