Cursor position when opening file in audio editor?

When opening an audio file in the audio editor, I have noticed that the cursor position seems different every time. Why is this? Is there a way to make it so that the cursor is always at the beginning of the file when the file opens? I want to just open a file, and hit play, and have playback begin right at the beginning of the file. Instead, I am always having to hit SHIFT+B first.

Thanks,
Todd

The position of the cursor is the same as when the file was last closed.
If the file was never opened, the position is 0.

Ok - thanks for the clarification. I suppose I can return the cursor to zero before closing a file so they always open at zero. Any chance this could be a “preference”?

Thanks,
Todd
