Cursor stop delay and Visual latency problems

Hi all: Since I’ve updated to Nuendo 6 I’m having serious problems with the “reaction” of Nuendo to my actions, mainly in two aspects:

  • When I stop the cursor, it takes a fraction of second to stop, so if I’m trying to edit music by ear (what I do most of the time) the cursor doesn’t stops at the beginning of a measure or at a musical hit, as I want, but later in the timeline.

  • The visual feedback from Nuendo is very slow. The meters from the mixer console have a considerable delay.

It seems like the whole system has become much slower than with Nuendo 5.5

Any help?
My system is:

MacPro 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
16 Gb RAM DDR3
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB
MATROZ Dual Head to Go DIGITAL Edition.
Mac OS X Version 10.9
RME Fireface 800
Nuendo 6.0.6

Make sure that the correct audio driver is selected?
Sometimes after updates/upgrades the driver will get reset to default.

Devices/Device Setup/VST Audio System.

This may sound silly, but I have a delay on my display as well. It is caused by my cheap LCD screen and not Nuendo. When I purchased a bigger display, I didn’t consider the amount of time it takes the display to process the input signal. I switched back to my smaller LCD’s which are of way better quality, and the latency doesn’t occur. Next time I buy a display, I will test for latency.
