My Custom Bar Number Paragraph Style is not showing in the Layout Options Bar Number Paragraph Style drop down list.
My Custom Bar Number Paragraph Style is properly created and saved and appears in the paragraph style library of newly created documents.
If you’re working with a project that was created before you saved your new paragraph style as a default, it won’t be present in that project: styles you save as default only appear in new projects created subsequent to that point.
You can bring such styles into your existing project using the Library Manager.

The custom paragraph shows in new projects under library/paragraph styles, but it is not showing in the Layout Options Bar Number Paragraph Style drop down list of the newly (after the creation of the new custom paragraph style) created projects :
I first make sure it was created earlier before I create a new empty document
But it doesn’t show in the Layout options of new empty documents
This is absolutely my point, and in my case they don’t !!
