Greetings awesome Dorico community! I am trying to add custom brackets to my project to isolate sections. When I try to add a bracket in Engrave mode; the bracket gets added to every staff, not just the staffs I select. Any advice would be appreciated.

Like this? You need to add the vertical bracket line to one staff (a chord) and edit it in Engrave mode. You can copy/paste in Write mode after you edit the first one. They won’t follow staff spacing changes, so do them last.

Yes, that is it exactly. Thank you. Would you be able to provide me with the steps you use to create that bracket? I’ve tried it, but was unsuccessful. I believe I am doing something wrong in my order of operation.
In write mode, select the first chord in the first staff and add a vertical bracket
In Engrave mode, move the whole line up with Cmd+opt+up arrow. And to the left with Cmd+opt+left arrow
Select the lower handle by tabbing twice or manual selection.
Cmd+opt+down arrow a bunch to get the size you want.
Now in Write mode, you can copy/paste it to the Fmaj7 chord and make adjustments in Engrave and so forth.
In Write mode, you can also color them.
If you want a thicker line, edit the solid line thin in the line body editor, or create a new thicker line.

I was going about it all wrong with the bracketing options.
Yeah, regular bracket won’t work with only one instrument.
