What are you talking about? Maybe a different program?
I’m just tired of trying to create a chord with #11 for 3 hours and I can’t because it changes the sharp to the natural. All options fail.
Hi. I’m sorry you’re experiencing problems in that area (which is not my area of expertise).
However, I have not seen such problems (sharps turning into naturals) in this forum before, so it’s probably not a widespread issue.
I suppose you’ve been using trial and error techniques, something could have been messed up in your system. Could you please provide a cut-down project that exhibits the problem with some steps to reproduce it?
[Edit] I’ve been playing with this a little and do not find I have any problems with #11 chords… Could you at least post a picture of what you’re trying to achieve?
Could it be a font issue?
Jesper
I’ll try on other machine with fresh Dorico settings & preferences.
It could be a font issue but I didn’t touched it. Choosed Petaluma. That’s it.
Just tried with Petaluma:
Here I’ve been playing with the Engraving options, because by default the #11 thing would be parethensized, higher and smaller… That’s why I asked for a picture of what you are trying to achieve.
[Edit] I see the next posts… I’ve changed to Petaluma through Library Menu>Music Font>Petaluma, so all the Paragraph styles have been changed automatically, I did not have to tweak anything there. All I did was modify Engraving options>Chord Symbols>Presentation
I envy you ![]()
Maybe an idea to post a dorico file with the problem?
What do you have selected here in Font Styles?
If you can post a file that exhibits this behavior, even if it’s only 1 bar long, I’m sure we can quickly figure out what’s going on. (If by chance you have one of the MakeMusic fonts like Finale Jazz selected here, the MM fonts are not completely compatible with Dorico.)
