I can’t seem to enter a custom Mood, I googled it and followed the instructions but double clicking in the attribute inspector text Field for Moods on the right, doesn’t seem to give me a text box ?

Hi,
Just from the UI (I don’t know this feature in detail), I would guess you can move the moods from the left (hidden) column to the right (shown) column. All the moods in the right column will be visible and you can select them in MediaBay.
Yer its odd , I am trying to add my own Moods to the Left column , Reading the Google search it seems like double tap and enter the name but it doesn’t work on a double tap. It just opens the dialogue where the existing moods are.

Hi,
Have you tried to move some to the right column?
Not at Cubase for details, but there is a Preference (or a setting somewhere) that controls if you can or can’t edit the results items in the Media Bay.
Hi,
Where did you find that you should get a text box, please? NediaBay says, the variable is type of text, it doesn’t say, you can insert a free text.
Yeah, that’s a good point. I forgot about that, but I just checked and I’ve already enabled it ”allow editing in results list”
thx
Hi,
It looks like Gemini is hallucinating. Ask for the link, where does the information come from. Or click the “link” symbol at the end of the 5th step.
Weird thing is I recently did exactly what @grayedout wants to do. Except I did it from the Mediabay tab in Halion 7. I checked and the mechanism I used isn’t available in the full Mediabay - at least not that I could find (its GUI can be frustrating). However the Mood I added via Halion was available everywhere. So you could use Halion to add your new Moods and then work with them in the full Mediabay. So that’s a workaround.
If I understand the question right, it’s in the preferences a setting for “allow editing in resultlist”!
That Preference is already confirmed to be properly set. What happens when you click on a Mood field is you get a list of already defined text descriptions. And you can change it to anything on that list. The problem is you can’t add any new items to that list in the Media Bay.
Not here at all. And I’ve got the same Preference setting as you.
I even checked back to C12 & it’s the same.
This is what I get when I click a Mood field. There must be a setting that controls the behavior
Poking around looking for settings I discovered you can change those Preferences directly from MediaBay Settings too, which is a nice addition I’ve noticed elsewhere in the UI.
Sorry, Raino!
You are RIGHT!
Explanation of my case:
I couldn’t find “Moods” in the attribute inspector, so I made my own custom folder under “various” and named it “Mood” ,… then this is editable.
That’s good. I missed that as well. The fact you can change it here is good but I always do have it activated.
Same for me as soon as I click on moods, I get the pop-up dialogue, from what I read you should be clicking in the right hand zone where the attributes are, but that isn’t working for me either.
