I have a trill in treble clef on D-natural with upper note gliss. from E-quarter-flat to E-flat. The first picture shows my input method, using a quaver D to create the E-flat upper note. The second picture is my final version, with the quaver D custom scaled to 1, but there is a small line remaining. It looks like almost nothing on the screen but actually comes out clearly when printing. Perhaps it is possible to create a text item with no text on an opaque background to cover up this little line? Or should I delete the note, remove the rest, and write the E-flat in a text item? Other suggestions? I have to do quite a few of these. Thanks!
Instead of scaling the note you can just hide note head and note stem:
