Custom sub-brackets

I added a sub-bracket for two Bassoons and ContraBasson on the very beginning of the socre. I expected this change to affect the rest of the score. But on the second and subsequent pages the sub-brackets join the two Bassoons only (not ContraBassoon).

If I add a sub-bracket on the second page a signpost Bracket and Barline Change appears but the ContraBassoon is still excluded from the sub-bracket.

Am I doing something wrong?

I found out what is causing the problem. Everything works fine until I insert a start cutaway for another instrument (e.g. Violin I). On the page where I insert the cutaway, Dorico reverts to the default sub-bracket settings. After I insert the end cutaway, Dorico respects the custom sub-bracket settings again. Is this intentional behavior?
