Cut controller data when MIDI data gets deleted

Hi,
I noticed that controller data does not get deleted, when I try to delete or cut a part of a MIDI note with the range tool in the Key-Editor.
Even though the “Auto Select Controllers” function is active (I know that the MIDI notes don’t get selected in the normal way when using the range tool, but I think in this case it would make sense and it is the only available funtion for that)
This is quite unhandy, bc this makes the function to delete or cut time in the MIDI editor basically useless if you have controller data connected to the notes. E.g. sustain pedal data, which is very common.

In the video I show that it is in fact not working, with both the cut time and with delete time function.

Hi,

It works as expected and as designed.

This way, you can cut just the time of the MIDI data. If you also want to cut the time of the MIDI CCs, you have to make the Range selection also the MIDI CC lane, you want to cut.

  • Make the Range Selection over the MIDI Notes.
  • Hold down Alt/Opt and click to the given Controller Lane.

The Range becomes extended over to giving Controller Lane and you can Cut the range there too.

Thanks to this implementation, you can decide to Cut the controllers or not.

The same applies for the CCs too. So you can decide, if you want to cut just the controllers range time.
