Cutaways in Dorico 6 - My tribute to the team

In Discover Dorico John Barron used my orchestral scherzo Streaming2 to demonstrate the new cutaway feature in Dorico 6. I felt immensely privileged that he did so.
I would also like to put my hands together for the whole team. This is a game changer for my style of music and I dare say I speak for many others here too.
I have now prepared Streaming2 in cutaway style this morning for myself, using John’s intro to the feature in Discovering Dorico. It was a dream and a joy to do, taking under about 40 mins from start to finish (303 bars), including coordination lines and tweaks. Unbelievable.
If you want to see the results you can see the score at the British Music Collection - it went up about an hour or so ago. Just search for my page. (admin - am I allowed to post a URL here?
Thanks again.
Now I have work to do!

Of course you can post a link here, Pete. But perhaps I can do it for you?

Peter this piece is immense. Your xylophone/double bass combo is outrageous. Love it!

Also use of cutaway is appropriate I think - so often it ducks in and out of a chamber ensemble - makes those combinations, and the focus of the piece really obvious. Great score

Thank you! And for for taking the time to look at it.

Would the score not be much more intelligible if you simply removed all the empty staves? That applies to both the cutaway and standard versions.

The eye has to cover a lot of ground and I found it harder to ‘hear’ the piece than I might have done otherwise.

One solution certainly. I find facing pages need aligning, for me, and cutaways does that, mostly
