Cutaways in percussion parts

Is it possible to make cutaways in parts? I’ve making a part for a percussionist (below), and the instrument changes on a large page (A3) meaning the marimba staff here clutters up the page and makes it a little more awkward to see the tempo indications at the top.

I’ve read something about not using multimeasure rests, I do want to keep them in the score.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Yes, but only if you set Consolidate Bar Rests to none in Library->Layout Options->Players.
