Cycle lap, takes, lanes definition.

What is the definition of Cycle lap, takes, take active, lanes. It’s confusing. In the manual p.76 talk about it.

“the recorded cycle laps are shown on the track with the last recorded take active and shown on top.”

Cycle = one lap between the the cycle markers. If in loop record mode, it will flip back to the left locator starting a new “Lap”.

Take = One completed lap

Active Take = the last completed Take. Previous takes will be muted.


Cycle and Lap can be interchanged a bit, but cycle is more about the mode “cycle mode”, where a lap describes the process of hitting the end of the cycle and starting over. The result of a lap is a take.
