I have been using the Insert Mode Stop Position as a visual marker when I am copying or comparing to a source, but just now I realized that the Cycle Locators are perfect for this.
I just select a few bars, and do Set Cycle Locators From Selection – works like a charm:
Not what the tool is intended for, but anyway very helpful.
