Cycling thru multiple takes and how to remove

Hello guys,
Can anyone please enlighten me please.

When I record several takes for a piece of music, how do I cycle thru each take for either editing or totally removing the other tracks? Sorry for the newbie question, but it’s been quite a while since I’ve done this.

Thanks guys.
Mark

Are you referring to comping?

I don’t know what you mean by comping.

Example: I’m recording a drum track with 11 separate tracks. I then start over and record another take and possibly a third, etc. My question is, how do I cycle or rotate from the 1st take to the second, to the third, etc.?

Open the Lanes of the track and scroll through the lanes is one way.

Please, read the document whose link I posted for the purpose of clarifying what we are talking about.

Steve,
Thanks for taking time to help me out and posting the link. I believe that’s exactly what I’m referring to.
Best.

You can also use the arrow keys to jump to the next take. Also a track up or down.

Thank you.

I would recommend using the lanes and crop tool method for single track recordings, and the track versions method for multitrack drums.
