D3 Rests not showing

I’m in the middle of reformatting a piece originally in landscape and done in the last version of D2. I’ve removed a lot of the rests, but since the work is reformatted that changes where the rests that I want to be seen would be. I’ve tried entering the rests in the usual manner and when I hit enter it looks like it’s doing something but no rest appears. Any thoughts? thanks

If you’re trying to add rests back in manually, you need Force Duration on, unless they’re bar rests. If they’re bar rests you can use Shift+B rest Enter.

If the problem is that you’ve previously removed the rests and you want to bring them back, select the last visible note or rest in the voice, then switch off the ‘Ends voice’ property in the Properties panel.
