I just bought the new Focusrite Dante NX card. first time setting up Dante.
I installed the Focusrite drivers and Dante Controller. But Nuendo doesn’t see the PCIe card. I should not have to use virtual sound card as I have a real Dante card yes? That limits me to 64 channels and the card has 128 in/out per port. I dont want to lose the channels.
what other piece of software do I need to get Nuendo to see the pie card?
Can you see the Dante NX card in device manager (windows)? Nuendo should see it if you have loaded the correct drivers for it. Try reloading the driver and re-starting.
Your DAW allows you to select which RedNet audio channel feeds each track. Please refer to your DAW’s documentation or Help files if you are unsure about this.
The RedNet PCIeNX card will be detected by your DAW and added to the list of available audio sources. Select PCIeNX (macOS) or Focusrite Thunderbolt ASIO (Windows)."
From their manual. Also, which Dante audio converter are you using with the card? How about any Gigabit ethernet switches? Is the card installed in a full length PCIe slot, which is also version 2.1 or above?
Here at Casa Sevilla, I have CAT cables running to my different rooms to breakout boxes for mic inputs and monitoring outputs. It works a charm, and the cables are in the walls.
