In this picture you will see Cubase darkens ALL my tracks except folders. The color is also kept where the icon is, on the left. Randomly it seems, as it is not the same with the rest of my setup, and behaves differently every time I load the project.
BUT, I would like my disabled tracks to darken like this. It would make everything much clearer. In the example above enabled tracks are also darkened which is not so good.
It’s in Settings→Track & MixConsole Channel Colors.
In the first image, it looks like “Tracks” is un-checked for “Colorize Tracks and MIxConsole Channels–and in the second image it looks like it’s checked. Maybe something is out of sync between your project and your settings. Did you create some parts of the template with an earlier Cubase version?
With “Tracks” checked, you should have the behavior seen in the second image for all tracks. You could try to toggle the setting and apply the changes to see if that resolves the issue.
Thank you!
I am aware of this setting. What I meant is that there is no option for changing color behavior for disabled tracks, that would have been very handy indeed.
But, clicking apply in my preferences again does reset the problem for opened folders, not closed ones…
I seem to get this behavior when I resize the tracks and/or open and close folder tracks.
So there is a bug here I am pretty sure. It also seem to only happen in larger templates.
It is getting weirder. The closed folders go back to darkened tracks after a bit. When I open the folder again, even if it behaved correctly 2 minutes ago, it is now dark again.
