DDP Creation / Ident.txt Question

hello guys,

after creating an DDP, the ident.txt file contains the 2 following lines:

  • Recommended LEAD IN period (not on tape): 180 seconds.
  • Recommended LEAD OUT period (not on tape): 210 seconds.

which I think is for the glasmastering guys, but to make sure:

what does it mean?

be happy!

Is this information right from GEAR DDP Ident.txt, I mean

180 seconds is 3 minutes
210 seconds is 3.30 minutes

shouldn’t this read in ms or in CD frames ?

Red Book standard there is always 2 seconds before the very first CD Track

if someone know what the DDP Ident.txt really means

regards S-EH
