Why doesn’t Cubase do a maintenance mode and after 2 years of not being used, they remove the license from the old machine? As long as its connected to the internet. Is this so pirates do not use the original activation code?

Good luck - you don’t actually need the new version installed to request the code - but you will need to install the elicencer software to activate it
