Deep in the weeds of Hitpoints

Deep diving Hitpoints and generally trying to micro-learn the Audio editors at the mo. I had a cunning plan, but… :face_with_peeking_eye:

Few Questions please:

1] At certain resolutions in the sample editor some of the triangles that top the line of hitpoints, are big and some are small - two types. What does this mean?

2] I have discovered how to disable a hitpoint, but not how to enable one?

3] When they go blue I supposed that means locked a hitpoint is locked, But what does this mean? In time and place, or making it undeletable, or… both…?

4] In the project window, my mouse spends it’s time in Arrow incarnation. As in the Sample Editor there is no arrow key, which mouse tool is it wise to use most of the time? Which is least harmful if wrongly clicked?

I am chewing the manual at the moment, but if anyone knows a video giving a guided tour of all teh functions in the Sample Editor, (rather than focussed on a particular Sample Editor task) then I would be grateful

Thank you people.

Click wherer you want it while pressing Alt, I think.

One of the best YouTube tutorial channels on Cubase is Mixdown Online by Chris Selim. I am sure he had covered that topic, too. Definitely worth watching - always straight to the point and with all details necessary.

Click “where you want it to be” assumes that you know where it was previously. I am seeking to restore a deleted hit point.

I watched his video on Cubase 10 hitpoints. What he says is useful, but it’s not a deep dive.
