Deep plugin scan on every startup

Since installing Cubase 15 pro, the program does a deep plugin scan on every startup.
Is this intentionally?
If not, any idea, how to get back the fast startup?

No. What’s your OS?

Windows 11

In the folder
C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 15_64\Cubase Pro VST3 Cache
you should find a file vstscannermaster.log.
The content should display which of your plugins are cached and which ones required a new scan. Maybe you can see if a certain vendor asks the plugins for a rescan.

Do you have Waves plugins by chance? If you do, they’re famous for screwing with the auto-scan routine of many DAWs.

the log file says (Cached) for all plugins except the different WaveShell versions.
Thanks for the hint!
I´ll look weather there´s a Waves update.

Waves are notorious for requesting a full rescan of their plugins on every start. If an update solves the delay let us know.

There were no updates, but I used the repair and clear cache (took over an hour!) functions. Some of those numerous WaveShell files got blacklisted, which makes the startup significantly faster.
As far as I can tell there are only two WaveShell files left, which still take a while to get scanned.

All in all much better now, thanks for your help!
