In the key editor, when editing tracks, every time I switch to another track or a combination of tracks, the controller lane is visible, which I don’t need during the editing process. I can of course turn it off (and I have a shortcut to do it), but is there some way to NOT show the controller lanes as a default ? (could not see anything relating to that in preferences, though …)
Existing tracks display the last active preset or configuration which was activated on this particular track if you open its key editor.
If you add a new track the last displayed preset on a track will serve as a starting setup for the new track.
To cut a long story short: I am not aware of a preference setting which supresses the display of the last active controller lane configuration in the editor window like in the automation panel dialogue.
Therefore, I´m afraid your shortcut is the easiest way to achieve what you are looking for.
Indeed, that’s what I thought. This thread should be considered a feature request. It’s an annoying waste of space and, in my opinion, not at all necessary during most of the work…
