Default Window Layout 7.2.1

There is something I don’t understand about default Window layout.

I have a layout which I like to use for Montage work. I have set this layout as the default layout for windows of this type (montage). I open Wavelab, which I have asked to use the default layout when starting up. I still don’t get my default window layout.

I understood this was fixed in 7.2, so I was expecting to see my layout on startup.

Is there something extra I should do, some hangover from previous versions that requires changing?

Check Workspace / Layout
Save as… or Save current layout as default
even check Global / General window layout

Global > General window layout > save as default
and not
Workspace > Layout
