Defeats the purpose of track presets?

Loading up a track preset with a predefined Direct Output defaults to ‘Stereo Out’ when loaded.

Why oh why

Track Presets do not store the Track’s Routing (neither do Track Archives). The only way store Routing is to keep your “Presets” in a separate Project and use Import Tracks From Project… and even then the routing destinations need to match between the Projects.

I was just wondering yesterday if this limitation was still in Cubase 14 - guess so.

An unfortunate limitation when the goal of track presets is to save time!

I agree, Steinberg should look into this. Track presets should give the option to save the track preset with the routing.
