Delay for MIDI Track Automation?

Hey folks!

I’m using an automation lane on a MIDI track in cubase to program control a dimmer for a lighting rig.

From playing my midi back, it seems as though the dimmer’s real actions are not perfectly sync’d with the beat of the music. I changed the delay a bit on the Inspector of the track and didn’t notice any change. Then cranked it up both ways (600ms each), and still noticed no difference.

Which brings me to my question:

Does the Track Delay control in the inspector even work for the midi that’s being sent from the automation lanes? :question:
