When i record, i have to click record and move as quickly as i can to my keyboard, and that causes a large amount of error. Is there a way i could set a 5 second delay so i can have time to prepare while i record?

The easiest way is to not start your song at the first measure 
.
Leave the first 1 or 2 measures empty, enable the metronome and start recording from measure 1. Then you have 2 measures to prepare.
The other option is to use precount.
Transport → Metronome options. On the Metronome options panels select the number of bars you need to get comfortable using Precount bars in the Precount options .
Then Transport → tick the Precount on/off option on the drop down menu.
