I’m struggling to delete a triplet for which a signpost is not showing at the start of the second measure below. Highlighting and deleting the rest has no effect. There must be an easy solution, but I’m a bit lost at the moment…
Can you post a Dorico file excerpt of those two measures?
Will do shortly ![]()
You did try to delete the signpost in write mode, I guess?
Jesper
There’s no signpost showing in Write or Engrave mode… it will take me a little time to produce a cut down file to post…
Thanks in advance for any help…
There’s one showing on the penultimate beat of the previous bar, but not on the troublesome beat at the start of the following bar
When I was inputting music, the triplet had continued into the following bar, as expected, but now I can’t delete either notes (if I add something) or see a signpost to delete the triplet…
I’ll post an excerpt shortly…
I suspect I’m missing something obvious, but the first beat of 35 is where I seem to be unable to delete a hidden triplet signpost.
Triplet.dorico (3.0 MB)
You have entered a 3:2q tuplet in bar 34, which spans the barline into bar 35.
To fix it. Select the signpost, hit delete, then re-enter the correct tuplet 3:2e
Thank you so much for this @Janus. May I ask how you identified what I had done, if only to allow me to self-diagnose a little more in future… Thanks once again for your help - very much appreciated.
Brilliant - thank you for this, @Janus - so helpful, and to be honest, I’d have never solved this without your input.
I believe Janus should receive the Solution checkmark.
Apologies - an mistake on my part, thanks for head-up… ![]()
