Delete unused files (recordings)

Hey there, I’m wondering if there is a function within WL to delete unused audio files, specifically recordings.

I’ve been naive in thinking that if I start a recording and need to stop the recording to change something, that a command undo would delete the associated recording. But I now realize that I’ve just been accumulating unused hardware captures, needlessly devouring my already depressingly-limited hard drive space.

Its been a while but I believe PT has a ‘select unused regions’ command, and most other DAW’s have something similar. Does WL have such a function? Or does anyone have a workflow workaround (aside from deleting recordings immediately, something I’d no doubt forget and/or it’d kill my creative momentum)?

Just updated to WL Pro 13.0.2

Thanks so much

(any help with this would be very much appreciated, thanks!)

Your descriptions are not very clear. What are you recording and how are you doing it?

It’s not clear what you mean by this. If you mean you simply need a way to stop a recording in progress and discard all the recorded data of that recording up to that point, use the ‘Discard’ button (Ctrl+Del).

What does this command do and what are your precise expectations for such a command in Wavelab?
