Delete Voices in an Instrument?

Hi,

is there any way to delete voices in an instrument that had been previously added but are no longer used, to get back to a stage where there is only the Up-Stem Voice 1?
I have highlighted all the contents of the entire instrument and made sure it was only in Up-Stem Voice 1, but the options remain there for Up-Stem 2, Down-Stem 1, even though they are no present in the instrument. Is there a way to remove them?

(I’m asking because I’m getting frustrated by the caret seleting those voices when inputting or copying pasting, and I keep having to change voice selection) — so it is inadvertently re-creating multiple voices in the instrument when I do not want them.)

I’m not sure what you mean here by “the options”. But if you had notes in multiple voices, and you moved all of the notes to a single voice, then you can “get rid” of the extra voices by closing and re-opening the document.

Don’t you have independent voice playback enabled in Play Mode?
If so, it retains all the voices you’ve created, even after you’ve deleted them.

What you can do in that case is disabling IVP in Play mode, save, close, and re-open (and re-enable IVP if you want).

Ah great, thanks for the tip about closing the doc.
By options, I meant these in the contextual menu — which, more importantly, are the voices available to the Caret.
