Deleting an added clef

I changed the clef in the middle of a line and now want to delete/remove it. I’ve tried the delete feature in Edit but it has no effect. How do I get rid of this thing?

In Write mode?

Delete all the other bars - leave just enough to reproduce the problem - and upload the project.

I find that going to Write mode, selecting the clef, and pressing Delete, does the trick.

OK, I don’t know what I was doing wrong before, but it works now.
