Deleting Dorico 2 installers?

Hi all,

Probably a very computer noob question, but hey, no ask no gain. I’m trying to make a little more space on my computer and am wondering, is it safe to delete all the Dorico 2 installation files if I’ve since upgraded to Dorico 3? Like, the sound library won’t disappear if I do so?

Thanks!

Yes, perfectly safe: an installer is not ‘linked’ to the products of its installation.

You can certainly uninstall ‘Steinberg Dorico 2’ from Programs and Features in Control Panel on Windows, or simply drag the ‘Dorico 2’ application package to the trash on Mac. Don’t remove any of the actual sample data, though: that is shared between all versions of the application.
