I redid a project because the missing files were never found. When I open the completed project the missing files box shows up. How can I avoid that from happening now that the project is completed. CB 14 Pro Windows 11

Do you empty the trash (under ‘Media’)? If you save and then empty the trash, Cubase still looks for those files.
I will definitely give that a try I assume you’re talking about the pool where the trashcan is

Could I do a back up of the project and when it comes to deleting missing files I will get the same result?
The option you want is Remove Missing Files. Do this and save. That’s it. (You can’t delete a missing file, for obvious reasons.)

The option is greyed out here because I used a New Empty Project for the screenshot.

Looking at the media and the pool I could see in the trashcan all of the missing files and possibly some others If youright Click you have an option to delete them
