It will not let me delete the pick up bar - I have tried multiple ways. I literally just want to get rid of that bar.

Try re-inputting the time signature at the beginning of the flow (e.g. if you’ve got a pick-up into a 4/4 time signature, re-input a 4/4 time signature), then delete the number of beats that were previously in the pick-up (e.g. “-1q” to delete one quarter note/crotchet).
Alternatively, if you have Dorico 4, use the “Global Adjustment of Current Bar” Insert mode scope, select items that span the full duration of the pick-up, then press Delete (just the ordinary Delete key).
