Demoing Cubase Pro 15 because of Logic’s broken ARA. Can’t get Melodyne Studio 5 to show multi traks

I have Fully licensed version of Melodyne Studio 5. Trying Cubase and have tried putting Melodyne as track extensions as well as event extensions. In either case I can only see one clip at a time. Show Tracks is greyed out. Logic’s failure to host ARA natively is why I’m trying Cubase. Please tell me what I’m failing to understand. Thanks!

Make sure you’ve selected all the clips in the tracks you want to see before you open the Melodyne editor in the lower zone or full screen editor as Cubase’s ARA editors (Melodyne or otherwise) only show the data from the clips that have been selected. Then, inside Melodyne Studio, you will see the notes from all the clips that have the extension active on them.

Thanks Rick for your reply. I do select every event first, before applying the Melodyne extension. I have narrowed it down to the tempo track, I think. I opened a new project and started importing one track at a time. I was able to see the the tracks as expected. As soon as I added the tempo track, it broke again. I’m not going to give up just yet, but it looks likely that this is the culprit. I’ve found a little information of others struggling.

If I knew they were working on this and would fix it soon, I could feel ok buying it now while it’s on sale.

That’s weird. Though I don’t use tempo tracks all the time, I have definitely used them on songs where I’ve used Melodyne, too, including the most recent one where I used Melodyne, where I had a few significant slowdowns and back up to speeds for effect. Note, though, that I’m on Windows 11, so, if there is some Mac-specific issue, I wouldn’t have seen it. Also, with respect to Melodyne, I pretty much only use it at the clip extension level rather than at the track level. (In fact, that is true with most of my ARA extension uses, as I often work a song section at a time, then render each section as I finish doing whatever ARA-type editing is needed on the section.)
