Hi,
I’m re-developing my playback templates for (1) VSL Synchron + Studio, and (2) Studio instruments. My guess is that I should go on with first doing it for case (1), and only later duplicate this template, and remove all the Synchron instruments to only leave the Studio ones.
I’m doing (1) because there are instruments, in the Studio libraries, that are not in the Synchron ones. They will supplement the newer ones with more instruments, for example more tam-tams and more percussion beaters.
My strategy: use the standard instrument names for both libraries. So, Violins 1 will be assigned both to Synchron Duality String’s Violins 1 and to Studio Orchestral Violins 1.
Once done template (1), I’ll duplicate it to (2), and after deletion of the Synchron instruments I’ll have the right names for the remaining instruments.
In template (1) I will create new instrument definitions for the Studio libraries. So, when invoking a “Violins 1” player, I’ll get Synchron Duality Strings. When invoking a “VSL Studio Orchestra Strings Violins 1” player, I’ll get the Studio addendum.
Is there another way to achieve the same?
