So, is it normal that volume level on stereo output and group channel (of those 3 drum tracks) is higher than on each of those 3 tracks individually? And if not: how to fix this?

Yes that is totally normal. Your 3 individual tracks will add up in the groupchannel. I am actually surprised its not even higher than 5.1 dBfs.
The trick during the mixing stage is to find the proper gain staging. Its not optimal to bring individual channels up to 0 dBfs. When i mix than my master level is at aprox. -5 dbfs while master fader is set to unity gain.
