Difference Btwn Cubase Wave Editor vs. Wavelab?

Since you have Wavelab as a separate Wave Editor, is there anything critical missing from Cubase 14’s wave editor features that most other DAWS would have?

If you look at the Wavelab product page, you should get an idea of what it is used for. what would be critical for any random user? I guess you would need to answer that for your needs

Thanks Glenn. I’m reading about Cubase 14 now. Does VariAudio3 do the same thing that Melodyne does?

VariAudio is a very powerful tool and a lot of users (myself included) prefer it over Melodyne because not only does it an excellent job but it also works flawlessly within Cubase.
Melodyne offers different versions - depending on the version it can also handle polyphonic signals (other tools can do that, too, but you were inquiring about VariAudio vs Melodyne).

Variaudio is a bit more limited, but very much like Melodyne. If you are a Cubase user, you will love the integrated user experience. It has a very fast and easy workflow.

Thanks for the help guys. 1 more question. Does it tune your track in real time, or after the fact?

i never tune real time, but its not a terrible idea to set a tuner to chromatic if you want to. many prefer that

Thanks Glenn. So, that feature IS in VariAudio3?

vari audio is not real time. try the pitch correction plugin, or use something from Waves like Pardon Our Interruption or even the original Auto Tune
