Copy/paste from my Reddit post:
”New user here, recovering Sibelius user. I would like to have a different font for the tempo marker at the start of the piece (“Gently” in bold followed by a metronome mark) and later “immediate” tempo markings (e.g. “a tempo”) in italics. But if I change the font of one it changes them all across the board. Is there a way to single out the “Gently” as bold, and “a tempo” as italic? I’ll add, figuring out how to put “a tempo” below the staff was more difficult than it should have been.”
So, make “Gently” bold, leave “a tempo” italic:
Welcome to the forum.
Perhaps this setting in Engraving Options > Tempo might be useful:
You can set “a tempo” and other relative changes to use the “Gradual” tempo paragraph style, which is usually set to Italics.
If you want something that’s unique to an individual marking, then you’ll have to use System Text instead (with a tempo mark for the metronome).

Thanks! That worked! Took me a minute to figure out where “Engraving Options” is located, but I got there.
All Options are under the Library menu. I’d recommend some of the interface tutorials for finding your way around everything.
