I can’t figure out how to get the sound of a roll on a Snare Drum “snare off” and a roll on the Toms.
Also, how to get a Tom sound hit with felt beaters or mallets.
I would be very happy if you could help me.

In the post you have linked you were using a HSO drum kit with a general GM percussion map. Is that still the case in your present setup?
If so the snare roll should play by simply putting the 3 stroke tremolo on your note.
The key switch for this rolll in the Yamaha GM extended version percussion map (PM) is F1 and the percussion technique is also defined in the techniques of the snare. These are the two conditions to make an articulation work i.e. defined in the PM and in the playing techniques of the instrument.
For the toms only one these conditions is met. There is a roll defined in the playing techniques (which you access in the setup mode by pressing the three dots at the top right when you highlight your kit …, then edit percussion kit and ,highlight a tom, and next press edit playing techniques). On the other hand there is no tom roll in your PM.
So when you add the three tremolo strikes to your tom note, it will just play repeated hits and no roll sample.
If you want all to work you have to chose a percussion library which has all the techniques you need.

I understand that Dorico doesn’t create sounds on its own and that it only works with the samples available in the libraries we provide.
Do you happen to know of a library that’s comprehensive enough to offer all these techniques for percussion instruments?

Bonjour Jean-Marie. It depends if you just want a complete drum kit or also other orchestral percussion. Addictive Drums is a very complete drum kit. You also have Kontakt based libraries in the Komplete aeries which drum kits. I am not sure if the free version has a kit with the techniques you need however. You do need to find or make percussion maps for them.
I am using VSL Synchron Percussion. There is a cheaper Synchron Prime version available as well but I am not sure it has all techniques. Advantage is that VSL provided a template with percussion and expression maps.
I mainly use orchestral percussions.
