Different styles for rehearsal marks (bar numbers vs letters)?

I don’t know if this is possible yet:

I want to use rehearsal marks as letters to mark the beginning of bigger sections, and at the same time use them as bar numbers to mark e.g. every 8 bars or whenever a bigger phrase starts.

Is there a way to have them look different from each other?
Of course I can size them manually via the properties panel, but is there a “Dorico standard way” to e.g. have the letters in a box and the bar numbers without one?

Why not just change the appearance of bar numbers and set them to appear every 8 bars?
Check out Layout Options>Bar Numbers (frequency, appearance and showing/hiding) you can automatically hide them at Rehearsal Marks; show them in a box; and apply a specific paragraph style…

Hi, Janus!

Because (as I said) it’s not always 8 bars - would be way too easy, right?
Most phrases are 8 bars, but not everywhere. I need to place them wherever they need to go.

You can hide/show bar numbers wherever you want (right click>bar number change)
