Different time signature appearance between full score and part layouts

Trying to set up my template and there is stuff going on here thats making me scratch my head, and its just from time signatures. I’ll go into the battle with percussion later…
I have the large time signatures set up and it looks good. But when I go to the parts, everything is all over the place.
My first question is how do you change the font for the time-sigs in the parts only?
Second, this is the 1st flute part and this is the result of the time sig:

Now when I go to the piccolo part with a flute 3 doubling, i get this:

Time sig slightly smaller. This happens on all the players with doublings: Bass CLarinet/Clarinet 3, C-Bsn /Bassoon 3.
I get to Harp and I get this:

and Piano/Celeste is this:

Score looks like this:

Any help would be appreciated!

My guess is that in Library > Layout Options > Time Signatures you’ve set different things here for your various part layouts.

Layout Options are local to the layout, meaning that every Layout in your project can have different settings. If you want to apply settings to all part layouts in one go, for instance, use the Select All Part Layouts button in the bottom right corner of the dialog (or shift-click them all in the right side) before setting and applying options.

It may even be that you set one thing for a bunch of part layouts but then added more instruments, at which point Dorico would have created new part layouts that would use default Layout Options rather than the ones you’d already set for your existing layouts. The quick solution there is to ensure that when you do set Layout Options you like for your parts, to then (having applied) use the Save As Default button in the bottom left corner. This should hopefully ensure that new layouts are created with the settings you want. (And of course the defaults can be unset or overridden, and will only apply to new projects and the current one, not other existing ones).

oh to miss the obvious…didn’t even look at the right side of the screen…
Thanks Much!!!

dggnotes, if you could give @pianoleo the “Solution” :white_check_mark: - then other forum users will have the benefit of finding the solution quicker. Also your thread title will show the tick - as a hint that your weird problem has actually been solved.
