Different volume between libraries

I’m working with different libraries, BBCSO and Vienna Synchron, and I’ve noticed a significant volume difference between the instruments. I’ve tried adjusting the expression maps in the case of the Synchron, which seems to be the quietest, but I’m not sure if that’s the right approach. I know one solution would be to adjust the volume in the mixer, but I’d like to know if there’s a better solution.

You could use plug ins with input gain to level match those different libraries, but this is a rabbit hole… Spitfire libraries are really tailored to be used with DAWs where dealing with volume is really easy. I’d say VSL is probably the most consistent brand for notation software users (and the only ones to provide expression maps!). In any case, it will require work. This is not NotePerformer!!!

I was very happy with Note and the engines from different libraries, but when the option to use external VSTs ended, I started exploring Vienna Ensemble Pro. Of course, that’s where I ran into the problem of the different volumes, and I’m trying to match them, but even if I create a template, it’s a lot of work every time I start a track.
