Digi 002r compatibility/driver issues in Cubase 6

Problem: Cubase 6 doesn’t like the avid drivers. My Laptop (HP G72) runs Cubase 6 flawelessly with the stock Realtek HD soundcard, but sounds like trash (audio warble, clicks, ticks, the like) with the MBox 2. Cubase SX3 (both desktop and laptop) works perfectly with the MBox2 and the Digi002r. I have Cubase 6 32-bit installed currently. I have not done the roll-back to 8.0.4b Pro Tools drivers, but that may be my next stop. If anyone knows if Cubase 64-bit install or the digi 002r 8.0.4b drivers will fix this, I would be truly grateful. Had to trash several days worth of recording this week due to this problem. Thanks so much!

Why do you want to use these drivers? Have you checked out ASIO?

How’s everything goin’ now? ASIO still not working?

not yet… About to uninstall/reinstall everything… Will let you know…
