Direct way to toggle between percussion kits views

Dorico offers three different views for a percussion kit, which can be selected by adjusting the layout settings:

However, it would be extremely useful to have a more direct way to toggle between these views, such as a keyboard shortcut. Currently, I haven’t found any method to do this efficiently.

When working with percussion—especially when editing files imported via XML—I frequently need to cut and paste notes within a stave. Switching views quickly in such cases would greatly streamline the workflow.

This could be a valuable feature to consider for a future version of Dorico.

You can create a layout which has the percussion kits as 1-line instruments. Toggling between layouts is fast and easy. Use W to toggle between part and full score if you want!

I agree +1. I need to toggle through these numerous times a day in a project. In order to save space I prefer my percussion to be on 5-line or grid, but when I need to do detailed editing or dynamics, single-line is essential. I have attempted previously to set up a macro script, but the chance that they actually work is about 50%. A lot of the time they don’t. I would prefer to remain within the same layout and switch with a key command, so that I can still see all my other instruments in context.

That is a clever workaround in the meantime - I am going to update my current template with that in mind. Thanks!
