Directory error

Every few minutes I get this error message from Dorico 5:
“no such file or directory Error creating zip file: C:/Users/USER/AppData/Roaming/Steinberg/Dorico 5/AutoSave/current_piece.dorico”.
I recently have updated Windows from 10 to 11 and there is no more the directory USER, so I understand the message. But how can I get rid of it?

In the upgrade process did you change your username? By USER I presume you mean .

Is it a case of simply reinstalling Dorico after the OS upgrade?

Yes, there is a new username. And I have reinstalled Dorico.

The “scorched earth” approach to fix this would be to open the Preferences dialog and click Reset to Factory, but that will reset all of your preferences.

The surgical approach is to open the file preferences.xml from %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 5 in your favourite plain text editor, find the autoSavePath entry, and correct the path there.
