Disable autoscroll when zoomed-in nudging

when i’m zooming in, nudging moves the screen along with the events, how do i disable it? thanks

To my knowledge you can’t disable this behavior. However, if you use the PLE to perform your nudging, the screen won’t auto scroll.

Using any of the four Nudge End/Start Left/Right commands, either via key commands or from the Project Window Toolbar, causes the project view to auto-scroll. I have the Auto-Scroll setting turned off. Is there any way to prevent this. I find it extremely disorienting. Especially if I’m zoomed in close.

I think the pattern is if both ends (start and end) of a part/event are visible, the part/event will move.
If only one end is visible, the background will move.

Yeah, that seems to check out.
Personally I’m not too bothered by the Move Left/Right commands scrolling the background, it’s more the Nudge Start/End ones that I would prefer the background to stay stationary. (I think the screen recording in the topic I linked to above demonstrates this well.)

Luckily there’s a workaround although it requires you to use Key Commands.
