Disable volume slider on audio track

Hi!

Is there a way to disable the volume slider on the bottom left part of an audio track? Whenever I want to adjust a crossfade I accidentally press the volume slider instead and make a volume adjustment. I knew this was going to be trouble when I saw it was introduced in 14, and I still haven’t gotten used to it. Maybe it’s just me?

Hi,

You can Lock > Other on the Audio Event. But then you will not be able to change the Fades ither.

Hi,
I assume you are talking about this slider, right?

In that case, yes, you can:
Go to Edit/Preferences/Event Display/Audio
Show Event Volume Control and check the option “Never”.

Hi @Reco29 ,

Thank you, I didn’t know about this preferences setting. :+1:

Hi @Martin.Jirsak,

this option appeared with one of the last updates (14.0.20 if I am not mistaken) and was not properly announced - sort of a hidden feature although it is documented in the manual by now.

Truth be told: I would not have known, too, if it wasn’t for someone’s post here in this forum
