Bit of odd behaviour happening and can’t figure out what is going on. As per title, disabled midi tracks that are hidden in the project window, unhide themselves when changing visibility configs in the mixer.
In the clip below
Mixer 1 and project are synced. configs are only in the mixer. No configs have been set in for the project window
10 midi tracks (5 of which are disabled), 10 inst tracks (5 of which are disabled), 10 group channels. There are 3 configs for each of those track types.
Disabling the inst and midi tracks in the project makes them disappear from the mixer as expected. However, changing any visibility config makes the disabled midi tracks reappear in the project window. This includes if ‘Midi’ has been removed from the filters of the ‘instrument’ config for example, although this shouldn’t make a difference.
The disabled Instrument tracks behave normally and do not reappear when changing any config.
Any reason I’ve missed why this should be happening or is this a bug?
I tried to reproduce what you are describing in Cubase 12 but could not. Disabled tracks did not show up in the Mix Console after changing Channel Visibility Configuration presets. Perhaps I did or have something different from you.
Thanks, apologies if I didn’t explain well enough. Its hidden midi tracks within the project window which is the issue. The screen rec should show whats going on.
If you change a visibility config within the mixer (while the two are synced), any midi tracks that are hidden via ‘Hide Disabled Tracks’ or deselected in the visibility tab suddenly reappear in the project window - even if the visibility configs have nothing to do with midi tracks.
Any disabled instrument tracks are not affected, which is the expected behaviour.
I watched your video but it was hard to grasp what was going on. Partially because the video appeared to be playing double time.
Maybe a carefully written step by step would help in trying to reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.
